Accreditation
The Southgate Police Department achieved Accreditation through the Michigan Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (MLEAC) in February of 2023. The department is just one of 58 out of a possible 588 in the state to achieve this prestigious honor. This time-proven and systematic process is designed to strengthen an agency’s transparency, accountability, and professionalism.
